I’ve kept personal journals for years. And now, for a few years, I’ve kept this public journal. The really personal stuff still gets penned into little spiral notebooks. But more and more, I’m seeing it spill into the posts on this blog.
I live in a small West Texas town. My professional education is in law. I’ve worked for a university for the last 20 years and have continued practicing law. The last ten years I’ve concentrated my time on conflict resolution and reconciliation.
That’s pretty much it. After years and years of trying to be a good husband, father, grampa, church member, lawyer, and writer, I’m learning that the most important things happen when people reconcile. So, I’m spending the rest of my time letting God show me how to do that.
This is my invitation for you to come along.

I enjoyed your class my first semester with Lorianne. I am so glad to find your blog!

Darla, glad you’ve found Distinct Impressions. It’s really more therapy for me than anything else. But I’m pleased that you’re reading. Blessings!
Dr. Cope:
Before I wrtie this I can honestly say, I am not trying to make any “brownie points”.
This would be a great book, sort of like “Marley and Me” but different. Have you given any thought to the idea?
I am so blessed I found ACU, I am so proud to be a part of the program!

Darla, I hadn’t really thought about a book from this material. It would take a really good editor to make sense of it all, don’t you think?
Dr. Cope:
No, I do not think it would take anything at all for you to have a New York Times #1 hit!! Really, consider it!
I had a hard time finding the response. I did not remember where I posted. Sorry for the late response.
Really, give it some thought. I think it is touching and something the Today show would highlight.
